KUANTAN, April 12 – Pahang Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob(Pic) regrets that a reporter with an English daily newpaper has misreported his statement. He said the reporter misreported his statement on the general election candidates in an article entitled ‘Pahang BN To Field Eight Fresh Faces In Election’ published today.
While not denying that he met the reporter, the Pahang Menteri Besar said that the election candidate issue was never discussed.
“I did not discuss it with her as the decision on candidates or seat swapping will only be announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
“Who am I to pre empt the Prime Minister?,” he told reporters here today. Adnan was commenting on a report quoting that Pahang BN might field seven or eight new faces and swap seat among BN component parties involving Kuantan and Temerloh parliamentary seats.
