Najib’s people-friendly nature gains M’sians’ admiration

najib-rakyat-300x168SHAH ALAM, April 23 – The people-friendly nature of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his visionary leadership have gained the admiration of the multiracial residenrs at Taman Sri Muda here. They said Najib was a leader with the people’s interests at heart and was easily approachable.

“Not everyone will be fortunate to see the prime minister in person and shake hands with him. I feel very fortunate today. I will not forget this memorable moment forever,” said pharmacy student, G. Vanitha, 22.

She was among the residents who had the opportunity to shake hands with Najib when the prime minister went on a walkabout in Taman Sri Muda as part of has nationwide tour to meet the people at the grassroots to galvanise support for
Barisan Nasional (BN) in the May 5 general election.

Vanitha, who is studying at a private college in Kuala Lumpur, said she skipped her classes today to meet Najib after receiving information that Malaysia’s No. 1 leader will visit the housing estate today. Another resident, Lee Soon Li, 68, who also had the opportunity to meet and shake hands with Najib, described the prime minister as a good leader nd leader with vision and mission for the people and country.

“As the prime minister of this country, Najib enjoys the support of the Malays, Chinese and Indians. He has a lot of ideas to bring progress to the people and to propel the country to greater heights,” he said.

Eventhough today is a working day, people from all strata of society turned up in full force to show their support to Najib’s leadership. Najib’s visit to Taman Sri Muda is among the programmes lined up for the prime minister’s day-long visit to Selangor to give a moral boost to BN’s election machinery in efforts to wrest the state from Palatan Rakyat in this
election.

The prime minister also performed Asar prayers with the people at the Al-Falah Mosque in Sri Muda. Najib, and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and their two children — Ashman Najib and Nooryana Najwa Najib — later joined the people for a tea reception.

Present at the event were the BN candidate for the Kota Raja parliamentary seat, Datuk S. Murugesan, state assembly seat contestants Mohd Abdul Raof Mokhtar (Sri Muda) and T. Mohan (Seri Andalas).
