KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has retained her Lembah Pantai seat, slaying another Cabinet minister in the process.
She defeated BN’s Raja Nong Chik by a majority of 1,874 votes.
In the previous polls, she defeated minister and former Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abd Jalil.
The situation in Bangsar was tense earlier, where Pakatan Rakyat supporters were said to have blocked Election Commission officials bringing in ballot boxes.
In Gelang Patah, DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang is on track for a landslide victory in Gelang Patah against Abdul Ghani Othman, the former Johor menteri besar.
