KUALA LUMPUR, May 16- Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah has been reappointed as the Second Finance Minister.
In the recent 13th general election, Ahmad Husni, 61, won the Tambun parliamentary seat, beating the PKR candidate with a 9,325-vote majority.
Ahmad Husni is expected to use his experience in the post, to which he was appointed in 2009, to maintain the country’s positive economic momentum in its quest for high-income status by 2020.
Hailing from Ipoh, Ahmad Husni has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Universiti Malaya, and attended the Management Development programme at the Asian Institute of Management.
He was Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister from 2004 to 2008 before becoming Deputy Finance Minister. He was also Barisan Nasional treasurer and Perak Umno deputy liaison chief.
