KUALA LUMPUR, May 16- Datuk Seri Douglas Uggah Embas has been appointed as Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities to replace Tan Sri Bernard Dompok.
Prior to this appointment, Douglas, 58, was the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Betong, Sarawak Member of Parliament won big during the 13th General Election, for the seventh term, beating Cecelia Siti Una from Parti Keadilan Rakyat with a majority of 10,887 votes.
He is also senior vice-president of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) for the 2010-2013 term.
