GEORGE TOWN, May 19- DAP chairman Karpal Singh has warned former party chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim to stop exposing the DAP’s internal secrets to the public.
Karpal, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bukit Gelugor, said he would take legal action if Tunku Abdul Aziz did not stop making the disclosures aimed at discrediting the DAP.
“We will take the matter to court, let him (Tunku Abdul Aziz) clearly understand, it is now time for us to act.
“As a real gentleman, he should not disclose any party secret to the public,” he said. He said this to reporters after attending a meeting with traders and visiting the Island Park General Market at Jalan Gangsa, here today.
Karpal said Tunku Abdul Aziz, who is the vice-president of ‘Transparency International’ had been brought to join the DAP on Aug 23, 2008 by the top party leadership.
Tunku Abdul Aziz was later appointed as vice-president of the DAP and on May 31, 2009, he was made a Senator representing Penang.
In May 2012, Tunku Abdul Aziz had announced that he was resigning and leaving the DAP as he could not agree with the stand of the DAP on the BERSIH 3.0 gathering. However, he did not join any other political party.
Earlier this month, Tunku Abdul Aziz had disclosed in a blog how he could join the DAP and after being a member for one year, he found that the ideology and struggles of the DAP contradicted with his karpstand.
