MEXICO, May 23- President of China, Xi Jinping (photo) , will visit Mexico from June 4 to 6, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Chinese head of state will have a private meeting with Mexican president, Enrique Peña Nieto, and another with the official commissions of both countries.
The agenda includes his participation in the Permanent Commission to the Union Congress, exchanges with entrepreneurs and a meeting with the Chinese community living in the Central American country.
He will also attend the ceremony of Distinguished Guest of the City of Mexico, and will tour the archaeological site of Chichen Itza in the Yucatan.
The foreign ministry said that the state visit will take place two months after the first meeting the two leaders held in Sanya City, Hainan Province, China.
In Sanya, the heads of state agreed to revive and strengthen bilateral ties, which were based on dialogue and mutual trust.
President Xi will be accompanied by his wife, Peng Liyuan. Mexico and China established diplomatic relations on Feb 14, 1972. The last state visit by a Chinese President was made by Hu Jintao in September 2005.
