KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, today granted an audience to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Deputy IGP Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin at the Istana Negara.
The Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, was present at the audience which was also attended by other senior officers of the Royal Malaysia Police.
Khalid was appointed the IGP on May 17, succeeding the retired Tan Sri Ismail Omar. Mohd Bakri was appointed the new Deputy IGP on the same date.
Among the other senior police officers present were Special Task Force (Operations/Counter Terrorism) Director Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun; Special Branch Director Datuk Seri Akhil Bulat; Commercial Crime Investigation Department Director Datuk Wira Syed Ismail Syed Azizan and Director of Management Datuk Mortadza Nazarene.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong also granted an audience to Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
