JUNE 3- The police custody of BCCI chief N. Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and actor Vindu Dara Singh in the IPL betting and spot-fixing case ends on Monday. Both of them will be produced in court later in the day.
The police custody of Meiyappan and Vindu was earlier extended till June 3.
The Mumbai Police is likely to ask for an extension of the remand as sources say some of the accused in the case are still on the run.
Earlier, the Mumbai Police argued that further custody is necessary to complete their investigations at a Mumbai court.
The Mumbai Police say they confronted Meiyappan with the contents of his diary. The diary contains notations of several meetings.
