JUNE 10- The one-man committee appointed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) to probe the spot-fixing charges against various players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has recommended lifetime ban on the three accused cricketers, including Indian pacer S. Sreesanth, sources told Headlines Today on Monday.
In addition to the arrested Rajasthan Royals player, his team mates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan might also be banned for life, sources said.
The BCCIâs Anti-Corruption and Security unit chief has also recommended that the IPL should do away with the strategic time out during matches. Moreover, it has also suggested that there is no requirement of cheerleaders.
The Delhi Police had last month arrested the three players from Mumbai last month on suspicion of spot-fixing in the IPL matches.
