KUALA TERENGGANU, June 17 – Local Avon franchise holder Aidah Badaruddin has invested RM300,000 to open two Avon Puteri beauty boutiques – in Gong Badak in 1996, and in Kuala Terengganu in 1997 — which have produced some 5,000 Avon distributors.
Aidah, 54, a former secretary at Pernas Edar in Kuala Lumpur, hails from Kuala Kangsar, Perak and moved to Terengganu in 1987 to follow her contractor husband.
After two years as an Avon manager in Kuala Terengganu, she opened her own franchise, and plans to expand statewide and train her children in the business.
She spends some RM500,000 every five years to refresh her boutique’s image, she told Bernama here.
