KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 – As part of Avon’s efforts towards raising breast cancer awareness, children joined hands with the company to support their mothers in having their breasts checked regularly.
The move was part of the Mother’s Day celebration alongside other activities such as games, mother and daughter look alike photography contest, quiz, skincare regime sessions, lip spa tips and lucky draws, held at Space U8, Shah Alam.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of Avon’s latest lipstick, Totally Kissable. The cosmetics company has committed to donate RM1 from each lipstick sold to raise Avon’s Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer fund, and as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The latest range of Totally Kissable comes in 10 attractive shades and has a unique blend of avocado, coconut oils condition and collagen, as well as fruit enzymes.
“This lipstick is on a special introductory price of RM23.90 (RM27.50 for Sabah and Sarawak). The purchase of each lipstick comes with an attractive pink color coin purse worth RM5.90,” Avon said in a statement today.
Senior Marketing Communications Manager Elaine Aisyah said Avon Malaysia has raised more than RM2.5 million through its Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer campaign since year 1994.
“We’ve donated and collaborated with various non-governmental organisations, hospitals and associations in fighting breast cancer.
“With the statistics of four lipsticks sold every second, this year’s fund raising campaign would leverage on the charity sale of Totally Kissable,” she added.
