JUNE 26- Aimed at competing with Samsung Galaxy Mega and Huawei’s Ascend Mate, Sony has officially announced the arrival of Xperia Z Ultra.
With a huge a massive 6.4-inch display, Xperia Z Ultra features a Qualcomm quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage plus microSD card support, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra measures just 6.5mm, the slimmest 1080p device and close to slimmest overall. The device will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra is quite thin phablet and claims to be dust-resistant and waterproof. It will come with handwriting recognition functionality and will be available in black, white and purple colours.
The ultra thin device is expected to arrive in the market later this year. There is no announcement about its pricing and exact specifications as of now. Sony’s other model, the 10-inch Xperia Tablet Z, when launched was well received by the market.
