JUNE 26- Having struggled for more than five years, today Vijay Sethupathy is an actor to be reckoned with in the Tamil film industry.
After giving a hat-trick of sorts, the Kootthu-P-Pattarai trained actor is a busy man these days and has string of films in his kitty.
The Pizza star also launched own production house recently and making a movie titled Sangudevan besides playing the lead protagonist in it. It is common knowledge that Kollywood has maximum number of fan clubs for actors.
When biggies like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay have their fan clubs functioning actively, looks like Vijay Sethupathy dares to be different.
It is learnt that a group of Sethupathy fans from Dharmapuri and its surrounding areas wanted to start fan clubs for him and apparently had approached him recently. But, the actor who does not believe in fan clubs declined the idea.
“True! A few groups approached me and said that they are keen to start fan clubs for me and promote my films by pasting posters and putting up billboards during my film’s release.
I politely told them that, `my producers are there to promote my movies and I don’t need a fan club to do this.
Basically, I am not for such fan clubs,“ reveals Vijay Sethupathy.
