KUALA LUMPUR, July 5- The Federation of Malay-Muslim Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) has urged the government to expedite the  establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on the Red Bean Army to identify those responsible for efforts to overthrow the government.

red-bean-armySecretariat publicity chief Dzulkarnian Taib said the DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang’s objection to the establishment of the RCI only reinforced the public perception that the opposition indeed had links to the cyber army.

The NGOs saw the anti-national movement conducted by the Red Bean Army years before the 13th general election (GE13), posing a threat to national security and political stability.

“Has the proposed investigation into the link between the DAP and the Red Bean Army touched raw nerves until the party requested that the prime minister intervene to stop our proposal from being accepted by the government.”

Dzulkarnian said the DAP should support efforts by the NGOs who want to see that the peace, unity and prosperity of the country is safeguarded and strengthened.

The Red Bean Army is a group of cybertroopers who manipulated facts and spread lies about the government.
