JULY 15- Director Del Toro’s latest offering Pacific Rim is set in the 2020s, when Earth is under attack by Kaiju, colossal monsters which have emerged from a portal on the ocean floor. To combat the monsters, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.
And that’s where Max Martini’s role comes into play. Martini who’s best known for his role in Saving Private Ryan, will give a new definition to the term “action”.
Martini’s character Herc Hansen required him to be well built and wear a heavy body suit in the film, which makes us wonder how difficult was it dressing and undressing each day for the character.
Martini who has an impressive role revealed it took him nearly 30 minutes to get into the jumpsuit and another 30 to get out of it.

He further said, “If I had to get to the restroom, it was a half-hour undress and about a half-hour to get back into the suit until they added the zipper.
They added the velcro flap and the zipper underneath as a result of our needs.
