Iran’s President-elect, Tunisian President discuss security of Islamic world

TEHRAN, July 15 – President-elect Hassan Rohani (photo) said that Iran opposes to all kind of war, conflict and bloodshed among Muslims in the world, Iran’s IRNA reported.

According to the President-elect Office’s website, Tunisian President Moncef al-Marzouki, during his call on Saturday afternoon to Rohani, congratulated the latter for winning the recent election and called for Iran’s assistance to secure a ceasefire in Syria during the month of Ramadan.

1573108-2544646_0Rohani said that all Muslim countries should try to prevent war, bloodshed among Muslims and Iran will do its utmost in this concern.

He hoped that the developments in Egypt will meet the interests of its people, adding that decision of Egyptian people should be respected by all.

Rohani wished success for all Muslim states, including Tunisia, during the fasting month of Ramadan adding that the Muslims should create unity among Islamic Ummah.

Rohani also expressed satisfaction over the growing trend of relations between Iran and Tunisia on bilateral, regional, and international levels and said that Iran has no limitation for its ties with Tunisia.
