KUANTAN, July 21- The 1,097 Umno branches in Pahang are only expected to hold their delegates meeting after the Aidilfitri celebration.
Pahang Umno elections comittee chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Jabbar said they had until Aug 31 to hold the meetings.
“Till July 15, no branch has held its meeting. Pekan has the highest number of branches at 146 while Cameron Highlands with 34 the lowest,” he told reporters here Saturday.
He added that the committee had also appointed 200 members to monitor branch polls.
