Deputy National Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit said the Indonesian government also had not prosecuted any Malaysian company in the matter.
Dawos was replying to a question from Senator Chandra Mohan who had asked whether companies from Malaysia were involved in the open burning in Indonesia during the haze crisis recently and to state the name of the companies and the action to be taken against them.
The deputy minister said the Malaysian fisheries sector recorded a loss of RM1.2 million that affected 3,285 fishermen during the haze last month.
