KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 6 – The Terengganu government is planning to set up mini permanent food production park (PFPP) in all the state constituencies to raise farmers’ income.
State Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Committee chairman, Asha’ari Idris said currently Terengganu had four large-scale PFPP, namely in Setiu, Besut, Marang and Kemaman.
“In the initial stage, we plan to have mini PFPP in all the state constituencies so that more people get to participate.
“We are looking for suitable sites of between 10 and 15 hectares in each state constituency for the purpose,” he added.
He said the farm would be would be planted with short-term crops such as vegetables.
