KUALA BESUT, July 25 – Former fishermen association chairman and religious teacher Che Ku Abd Rahman Che Ku Abdullah has expressed his confidence in his son, Tengku Zaihan’s ability to shoulder the responsibilities entrusted upon him by voters in Kuala Besut.
Che Ku Abd Rahman, 74, said Tengku Zaihan’s leadership qualities could be seen not only in the family, but also among the local community.
“In the family, he likes to extend his help to other family members and I’m sure he will be able to champion the people of Kuala Besut,” he told Bernama when commenting on his son’s victory in the Kuala Besut state by-election here Wednesday night.
Tengku Zaihan beat PAS’ Endot @ Azlan Yusof with an increased majority of 2,592 votes in the by-election.
