KANGAR, Feb 7 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived in Perlis today for a one day official visit to the state. Muhyiddin, accompanied by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu, arrived
at Istana Arau for an audience with Raja Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail at Bilik Biru Istana Arau, starting 9.30am.
Also in attendance was Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. After spending about an hour at Istana Arau, Muhyiddin headed to the Kompleks Dewan Undangan Negeri Perlis to attend a briefing on the state Barisan Nasional’s (BN) preparations for the 13th general election.
Muhyiddin who is also the Umno Deputy President is scheduled to attend a 1Malaysia People’s Banquet at Seri Melati Hall, Padang Besar at noon before attending a meeting cum dialogue with Perlis village chiefs, village development and security committees, religious scholars, parent-teacher associations and Malay non-governmental organisations at the 2020 Hall in Kangar. In the evening, Muhyiddin will start his walkabout at the Titi Chai Night Market, Tambun Tulang and Restoran Seri Pauh, Pekan Pauh night market before attending a 1Malaysia People’s Blue Wave Gathering at Jalan Home Gurad (Dataran Sheikh Ahmad) at 8.30pm.
