JULY 31- There have been enough books on Shah Rukh Khan and there was one more that was supposed to be released last month in June. Alas, for now it is not happening. Not in the immediate future at least.
The book titled, ‘Two Decades Too Young’ is supposed to be penned by journalist turned filmmaker Samar Khan. Incidentally, Samar Khan who has also directed two films earlier – Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye (2005) and Shaurya (2008) was till last year heading the TV division of Red Chillies, Shah Rukh Khan’s entertainment company.
According to the source, SRK is so furious at Samar that he went as far as to call up his current employers and asking them to fire the bugger before he runs them to the ground.
When asked wouldn’t he need SRK’s backing for the book to be released he said, “The book is about other filmmaker’s talking about their experiences of working with Shah Rukh in the last 20 years. So there is little input I require from him. As for his good wishes and blessings they are always there with me.”
When told about SRK being angry with him for what happened to his TV division under his stint at Red Chillies, Samar dismissed it saying, “It’s all rumours. I am in touch with him.” According to Samar the book will now release in December. We will have to wait and watch to see with or without SRK’s blessings.
