SONY DSCKUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6- The Selangor Wanita MIC has declared its full support for party president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel to retain his post in the coming party election.

Its chief, A. Sivabagiam, said leaders of state divisions and branches, together with the state Youth, had agreed unanimously that Palanivel should be elected party president, without contest at an internal poll.

“We have only two full ministers representing the Indian community, namely Datuk Palanivel and Datuk Subra (Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam), and we fully support Palanivel as he is also our state chairman.

The nomination for the MIC president’s post has been set for Sept 1, with polling scheduled on Sept 22, in the event of a contest.
