MELAKA, Aug 6- The remains of national hockey player Chua Boon Huat, who died in a car accident at the Damansara-Puchong highway last Thursday, was cremated at the Melaka Memorial Park here Monday.
The 3.30 pm cremation ceremony was attended by more than 1,000 family members, national hockey squad players, national athletes, friends and fans of the late Chua.
Among them were national hockey squad head coach Paul Revington, assistant coach Arul Selvaraj, former national hockey coach Tai Beng Hai, Steven Stephen Van Huizen, former national hockey player Nur Saiful Zaini Nasiruddin and former national football team captain Datuk Soh Chin Aun.
His friends and fans were seen wearing black t-shirts with ‘We Love Chua Boon Huat’ in front and the number ‘3’ at the back.
The late Chua’s ashes will be interred at the Seck Kia Eenh Temple in Gajah Berang here.
