BEIJING, Aug 27- Chinese President Xi Jinping (photo) will pay official visits to four central Asian countries from Sept 3 to 13, a Foreign Ministry spokesman announced Monday.
The countries are Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Xinhua news agency reported.
Spokesman Qin Gang said in a statement Xi is visiting the countries at the invitation of Turkmenian President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Uzbek President Islam Karimov, and Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev.
While in Kyrgyzstan, the Chinese President will attend the 13th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in capital Bishkek on Sept 13.
Xi will also attend the 8th Leaders’ Summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) in St. Petersburg, Russia from Sept 5 to 6 at the invitation of Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
