KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6- AirAsia Bhd will start three weekly direct flights from Kota Kinabalu to Kota Bharu from Nov 16, 2013.
In a statement on Thursday, the low-cost carrier said the new flights will further complement the airline’s extensive connectivity from Sabah and Sarawak to Peninsular Malaysia.
Head of Commercial, Kenny Wong, said there was an increasing trend of travelling from Kota Kinabalu to Kota Bharu, where travellers connected the airline’s hubs such as Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur.
“The weekly flights will be a major convenience factor, and enhance both business and leisure travellers’ numbers into each state,” he said.
