New Delhi, December 6- A day after polling got over in the national Capital, life returned to normal for the three chief minister hopefuls – Dr Harsh Vardhan , Sheila Dikshit and Arvind Kejriwal – who had been working tirelessly for several months in the run-up to the polls.

Meditation, meeting friends and getting a haircut were a few of the things on the ‘to do list’ of the three candidates. BJP’s chief minister hopeful Harsh Vardhan visited a party worker’s home in Geeta Colony at 7 am after hearing that his father had passed away.

On returning home in the afternoon, he finally got a chance to open letters and check parcels that had been sent to him by family members, friends and his supporters living in India and abroad.

Around 3 pm, he rushed to the hair dresser. “I haven’t had a chance to get a haircut in the last couple of months. Since I had a lean afternoon, I thought of utilising the time in a constructive way,” he said with a smile.

After meeting BJP workers later in the afternoon, Harsh Vardan went to Nitin Gadkari’s office to attend a party meeting.

“I was thrilled to see residents in the Capital come out in such large numbers to cast their vote. We are confident that we will form the next government in Delhi. People will get a competent and transparent government,” Harsh Vardhan said.

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit chose to attend a few public functions and spent the rest of the time with her family, sources close to her said. Dikshit attended the inauguration of a registered office of Bharatiya Mahila Bank in the capital.

Speaking at the function, Dikshit said: “I don’t believe in exit polls and I don’t believe in your projections (made by TV channels).”

AAP’s chief minister candidate Arvind Kejriwal decided to stay away from the limelight on Thursday and took some time out for meditation. Kejriwal had said after the polling on Wednesday that he would spend two days in ‘vipassana’ and return to Delhi on December 7, a day before the counting.
