Kuala Lumpur, Dec 18 – Mobile operator, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, has announced the availability of its Long-Term Evolution (LTE), or 4G Internet service, to customers in strategic areas within the Klang Valley and Johor Baharu.
U Mobile said the high-speed mobile Internet of up to 75 megabits per second would enable new and existing prepaid, postpaid and broadband customers to enjoy high-speed 4G LTE mobile internet in strategic areas — Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Puchong and Berjaya Times Square as well as Taman Molek in Johor Bahru.
“The customers within the stated vicinities can now enjoy high-speed mobile Internet and broadband access which is ideal for web-browsing, video streaming, downloading and uploading files, and staying connected with friends and family,” U Mobile said in a statement here Tuesday.
Its Chief Operating Officer/Acting Chief Executive Officer, Wong Heang Tuck, said the roll-out of 4G LTE services showed that the telco understood the pulse of its customers, industry needs and trends by expanding and diversifying its line of offering.
“We are looking at extending the 4G LTE network reach within the next few quarters, so that our customers can enjoy unlimited high speed mobile Internet, and an enhanced mobile experience with U Mobile,” he said.
