Kuala Lumpur, Dec 30 – The Meteorological Department today issued an orange-level warning of heavy rain in several areas of Sarawak, and said such weather would prevail until Tuesday.
It said in a statement that intermittent to moderate rain was expected in several divisions, namely Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman and Mukah.
It also issued a yellow-level warning of heavy rain in several areas in Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, saying the situation would remain so until tomorrow.
The department said the rain would cause floods in low-lying areas.
