Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 23 – Police in South west Kerala state is working out an action plan to transform capital Kerala into a child-friendly city, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
According to police sources, the plan will focus on reducing crimes against children including sexual abuse of minors.
As part of the plan, a children’s helpline will be set up along with round-the-clock monitoring and action teams on standby.
City commissioner P Vijayan said a counselling centre, school protection groups and a de-addiction centre are currently in discussion by authorities.
