Los Angeles, Feb 5- Disney’s ‘Frozen’ won five trophies including the coveted best animated feature at the 41st annual Annie Awards.
The family-oriented musical comedy voiced by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel won over ‘Despicable Me 2’, ‘Ernest and Celestine’, ‘Monsters University’, ‘The Croods’, ‘The Wind Rises’, and ‘A Letter to Momo’, reported Ace Showbiz.
Apart from this, ‘Frozen’ helmers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee received a recognition for their excellent direction in the animated series.
The movie was also honoured for having an engaging music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, Christophe Beck.
Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf the hilarious snowman was awarded the Voice Acting prize in animated feature.
‘The Croods’ bagged three awards for its Animated Effects, Character Animation, and Character Design, while ‘Monster University’ was honoured with two awards for Storyboarding and Editorial.
Among the non-animated works which bagged an award was ‘Pacific Rim’ and ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’.
While the former won Animated Effects in a Live Action Production award, the later was lauded for its Character Animation.
The 41st Annie Awards took place on February 1.
