BANGKOK, Feb 14 – The seaside Trang province in southern Thailand has welcomed five couples wishing to tie the knot underwater on Valentine’s Day Thursday while three couples have opted to wed in adventurous themes in Prachinburi province in the Thai East, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
The five couples will register their marriage under the sea off the Kradan Island on Thursday as part of the 17th Underwater Wedding Ceremony organised by the southern resort Thai province from Feb 13-15.
In Prachinburi, the three couples tied the knot at the 10th adventure-themed wedding ceremony on the eve of St. Valentine’s Day, held at Baan Pha-ngam Resort in Nadee District.
The couples then travelled to a botanic garden in Yantakhao area to plant trees, attended a traditional Thai wedding ceremony after a “Khan Mak” procession and participated in an unofficial wedding banquet in the evening.
