Opposition’s struggle increasingly in disarray – Muhyiddin

MUAR, Feb 14 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has described the opposition’s struggle to be increasingly in disarray as they failed to agree on many matters, including the “kalimah Allah” issue, that they
ended up quarrelling among themselves.

“Don’t be influenced by the opposition’s propaganda as they can’t even get along with each other. But recently Nik Aziz (PAS spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat) had gone to (DAP national chairman) Karpal Singh’s house (in
Penang) where they celebrated his birthday. PAS is increasingly in a state of confusion unlike before.

“The people are also increasingly confused with the opposition’s struggle. The parties that really struggle for the ‘rakyat’ are Umno and BN.”

Muhyiddin said this in his speech at a programme with the residents of  Kampung Sungai Alai and Sungai Ranggam, Panchor, near here. Also present were Bukit Serampang assemblyman Datuk Tahir Taat and Jorak assemblyman Datuk Dr Shaharuddin Salleh.

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin refuted the opposition’s claim that the Pagoh Higher Education Hub project was a lie and deceit in the run-up to the general election.

Instead, he said, the project which would boost Pagoh’s name as a knowledge centre, was expected to be completed in two and a half years, spurring economic growth in the area with lots of business and job opportunities for the locals.

“This is not an election gimmick, as the project has started. When completed, parents will send their children here for higher education.

“There will be economic opportunities here which will change the lives of Pagoh residents,” he said.
