New Delhi, April 4 – Love gone awry, murder, and deceit: these are things that remind us of the 1959 Nanavati case. The case was to get a Bollywood movie starring John Abraham, but reports are claiming that the deceit may have seeped in here too.
A leading daily claims actor John Abraham may have bought the film’s script from the writer which in turn left director duo Abbas-Mustan high-and-dry. They were planning to direct the film for Shemaroo Entertainment.
Why they feel double crossed is since John himself was offered the leading role, but later up and went and soon enough news of him making a movie himself emerged. John was apparently pretty excited about the script. The direct result of this is something the director duo’s not easily going to forget.
Not only that, John apparently quoted a huge amount for his role which got Shemaroo Entertainment rethinking. All in all, these reasons along with many others are reported to have stalled the project as originally envisioned.
