Najib and Obama will have a four-eyed meeting before engaging in bilateral talks with the respective delegations and followed by a working luncheon.

A joint press conference will be held following the conclusion of the meetings.

Obama arrived in Malaysia on Saturday for the historic three-day visit and was accorded with an official welcoming ceremony at Parliament building in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

The visit to Malaysia, part of Obama’s four-nation tour of Asia, is a first by a sitting US president in 48 years since President Lyndon B. Johnson’s trip in 1966.

Prior to Malaysia, the 44th American president had visited Japan and South Korea. He heads to the Philippines on Monday.

Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman on Friday said that the historic visit by Obama would herald the elevation of Malaysia-United States bilateral relations to a comprehensive partnership.
