New Delhi, May 12 – Apple is all set to launch a cheaper 8GB iPhone 5c in India in coming weeks. The original 16GB iPhone 5c was launched along with iPhone 5s in November, 2013, for Rs.41,900.
The iPhone 5s ran out of stocks within few hours of its launch in India, wherein the iPhone 5c couldn’t catch the eyeballs during its launch.
Now, Apple seems to be reinventing the 5c to push it through emerging markets.
The 8GB iPhone is already retailing in Europe and some other parts of the world.
According to a report on NDTV.com, the 8GB iPhone 5c has been priced 50 Euros less than the 16GB version in European markets. So, it is expected to be priced under Rs.35,000 in India.
The iPhone 5c comes in five different colours.
With the new strategy to offer current generation of iPhones at a competitive price, Apple looks to consolidate its place in India.
