New Delhi, May 14 – Samsung’s 2014 flagship Galaxy S5 has emerged quite a winner like its 2013 flagship, the Galaxy S4.
According to a GSM Arena report, Samsung has sold around 10 million units of the Galaxy S5 in just 25 days since its launch. This makes the Galaxy S5 the fastest selling Samsung device ever, beating its own the Galaxy S4 by two days. The Galaxy S5 is ahead of the S4 in opening day sales too.
The Galaxy S5 was announced in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device went on sale from April 9. It is available for Rs.51,500 in India.
On the specs front, the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inch display with 1920 x 1080p resolution. It runs on 2.5GHz quad core application processor and is paired with 2GB of RAM.
The new device from Samsung runs on the latest Android KitKat with the slightly tweaked Touch Wiz UI. Samsung has added a 16MP rear camera with HDR (Rich tone), Selective Focus, Virtual Tour Shot modes and 2MP front facing camera. It can capture ultra-HD videos at 30 frames per second.
