ASHGABAT (TURKMENISTAN), June 11 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he did not know of any reshuffle in his cabinet. “I’m not aware,” he said when asked by Malaysian journalists here on a report in a daily on the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle to be made this Friday.
Najib said this at a news conference before departing for Kuala Lumpur from Ashgabat International Airport on Tuesday night following his second official visit to Turkmenistan.
He was accompanied by wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor during the two-day visit.
The Malay Mail, quoting sources, said Najib was considering a major overhaul of his administrative line-up since instead of just bringing in MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and his Gerakan counterpart Datuk Mah Siew Keong.
The new line-up could be announced as early as Friday and latest after Hari Raya which is expected to fall on July 28.
