KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd saw its vehicle sales rise 24 per cent year-on-year to 4,536 units for the first six months of the year.
The increase was led by passenger vehicles sales of 3,366 units, according to a company statement today.
“This uptrend is expected to continue into the second half. It is a direct result of our various investments internally, as well as our extensive dealer network.
“All our recently launched models have been well received by the Malaysian market,” said President and Chief Executive Officer, Roland Folger.
With the local assembly of the S400L Hybrid currently underway, the automaker hopes to contribute in helping Malaysia fulfil its ambition of becoming a regional energy-efficient vehicles hub, he added.
