President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Roland S. Folger, said the opening of the 3S (Service, Sales and Spare Parts) autohaus marks a significant milestone as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of his company.

“Mercedes-Benz represents superior quality and superlative service, delivering the best to each customer. As such, the launch of this 10th autohaus is yet another fine example of the collaboration, loyalty and trust between Mercedes-Benz and Cycle & Carriage Bintang,” he told reporters at the launch.

CCB Chief Executive Officer Wong Kin Foo at the same press conference said the new autohaus is built to ensure the company keeps abreast of the increasing needs of customers.

He said with a capacity of 15 work bays, the company can serve up to 6,500 Mercedes-Benz cars for routine service in a year.

CCB, he said, has invested approximately RM100 million in building six autohauses in the first wave of facilities modernisation from 2004 to 2005.

On another note, Folger said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has invested more than RM200 million aimed at increasing production and enhancing the dealership network over the next three years.

He said he also sees positive sales growth this year for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, while looking forward to the revised National Automotive Policy 2013 to be announced by the government.
