SINGAPORE, Aug 27 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s visit to Singapore and the launch of Agrobazaar underscore the excellent state of bilateral relations between Singapore and Malaysia, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
In a statement today, MFA said it also reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and common benefit.Najib will be in Singapore today to officiate the opening of Malaysia’s Agrobazaar outlet.
Announced by Najib at the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat in Kuala Lumpur on April 7, 2014, the Agrobazaar is an initiative by the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama).
The Agrobazaar is located at Lots 37, 39, 41 and 43 Sultan Gate and will feature a selection of fresh fruit and agro-based products from Malaysia.Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has been invited by Najib to jointly officiate the opening of the Agrobazaar in Singapore.
“Following the launch of Agrobazaar, Prime Minister and Mrs Lee will host Najib and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to a tour of the newly-completed Singapore Sports Hub followed by dinner,” the statement said.
