On Wednesday, CNBC reported that some Apple fanboys had already lined-up outside the famed Fifth Avenue Apple store in New York. Yes, officially we don’t even know for sure if Apple is going to launch the iPhone 6, but the fanboys are already lining up.
The iPhone 6 is perhaps, the worst kept secret in the tech industry. Everyone is expecting Apple to launch the new iPhone and a wearable, which the press has dubbed the iWatch at its September 9 event in Cupertino, California.
Even if Apple launches the iPhone 6, traditionally, the product is made available a week later, which means that people have already lined up for the phone two weeks before its public availability and a few days before its expected unveil. Most probably, Apple will make the phone available on September 19, ten days after its event.
Most of the people waiting outside the Fifth Avenue Apple store are waiting for the new iPhone, but there are some who there to promote their apps, build their social media influence and make money by trading spots so that one is able to jump the line and buy the phone faster.
