October 8-Those smitten by Fawad Khan have some good news to cheer up to. The Pakistani heartthrob will soon be seen along with Sonam Kapoor in an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s book Battle For Bittora.
The film, which will be produced by Sonam’s sister, Rhea Kapoor, will see the lead pair of the recently-released Khoobsurat scorching the screens yet again. Sonam’s character here, however, will no longer be required to strut around a palace in fluorescent shrugs and garish trousers as the royal misfit. The actress will most probably be seen in a regal look in the film.
Anuja Chauhan’s book is the story of the 25-year-old Jinni, who works and lives independently in Mumbai. Her grandmother’s demand to have her contest the Lok Sabha elections sees Jinni in her hometown Bittora, where her rival is the ex-royal, Zain Altaf Khan. The story of the two, Jinni and Zain, is what steers the book forward.
