SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 – Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has yet to decide the candidate for the post of Prime Minister should it capture Putrajaya in the general election. When asked, opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is among the candidates, said it was not raised as who became Prime Minister was not a problem.
“Have you other suggestions?, he asked a reporter after unveiling the PR general election manifesto here today.
Anwar said the event was to announce the PR manifesto and denied it was to declare PR’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is another PR candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Meanwhile, PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu said the PR candidate for Prime Minister was being discussed but most important was to capture Putrajaya.
“Anyone who receive public support can become Prime Minister. Why not ask me because I also want the post,” he quipped jokingly.
