KUALA LUMPUR, January 29 – The MIC will provide light snack to 100,000 devotees from Sunday night to Monday morning in conjunction with Thaipusam at the party headquarters.
MIC Information chief L Sivasubramaniam said the snacks would be distributed to devotees who follow the chariot that heads to Batu Caves to celebrate Thaipusam from 10pm on Sunday to 5pm on Monday.
“This is the first time the party is giving out to devotees heading to Batu Caves,” he told reporters here yesterday.
He added that the MIC would also organise religious activities that would be participated by local artists from the Indian community, at the MIC party headquarters.
Party President Datuk Seri G Palanivel and other party leaders would also be present, he said.
