Singapore, February 16 – Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s prostate gland surgery was successful. He is expected to recover fully, said the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office today.
In a statement released on the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office website, the robot-assisted keyhole prostatectomy performed by Prof Christopher Cheng, the lead urologist at the Singapore General Hospital, “went very smoothly”.
Professor Christopher Cheng said, “The surgery went very smoothly, and he is expected to recover fully.”
Prof Cheng also confirmed that there is no relationship between the previous lymphoma and the current prostate cancer.
PM Lee also said that he is grateful for the good wishes from all.
