KOTA BAHARU, March 2 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has told Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) to work hard and accept the candidates picked by the party’s top leadership for the upcoming general election.
Kelantan BN deputy chairman Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin(pic) said these were the two important messages from Muhyiddin at a closed-door meeting while on a one- day visit to Kelantan today.
“The deputy prime minister said that we should not be lulled into over-confidence although the situation facilitates our victory as this is still an opposition fort.
“PAS will go all out to defend their fort (Kelantan,” he told Bernama after attending the meeting at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport, Pengkalan Chepa, here.
Also present was International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, who is also Kelantan BN chairman. Awang Adek, who is also Deputy Finance Minister, said the deputy prime minister wanted party members to give their full support to the candidates picked by the leadership for the general election.
“It is a test of our loyalty to ensure victory for BN,” he added.
