PUTRAJAYA, March 19 – The wedding of Nooryana Najwa, the daughter of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, to Daniyar Kessikbayev of Kazakhstan will take place at the Prime Minister’s official residence Seri Perdana here today.
Spokesman and representative of the prime minister’s family for the engagement and wedding ceremonies, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, in a statement here yesterday, said the marriage solemnisation will be conducted by Najib himself.
Jamil Khir, who is Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said in a statement that Najib and his wife, together with Daniyar’s family, would be holding wedding receptions in Kuala Lumpur and in Pekan, Pahang.
Among the guests-of-honour scheduled to attend the receptions are the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah, Malay rulers, state Yang di-Pertuas, Mentris Besar, Chief Ministers, Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, senior government officials, politicians, corporate figures and community leaders.
Also scheduled to attend are foreign dignitaries and leaders.
Nooryana Najwa, 27, completed her studies at Georgetown University, Washington, in 2011 and is now working with a venture capital company.
She met Daniyar, 27, when studying in the United States.
