KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 – Fourteen more Malaysians who were evacuated from strife-torn Yemen arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on board Qatar Airways Flight QR852 from Doha at 8.50pm tonight, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesman.
This brings to 121 the number of Malaysians brought out of Yemen. The others were brought home earlier via three separate flights.
Earlier today, 107 Malaysians evacuated from Yemen had returned home via KLIA on board three flights, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH151 which landed at 11.58 am bringing 49 people, Sri Lankan Airlines Flight UL314 which landed at 2.05 pm (17 people) and Emirates Flight EK346 (3pm – 41 people).
“Tomorrow, 32 more Malaysian citizens evacuated from Yemen are scheduled to return home in two flights, Malaysia Airlines MH151 and Saudi Airlines SV832,” he said when contacted by Bernama tonight.
He said MH151 which would be bringing home 27 Malaysian citizens was scheduled to arrive at KLIA at 11am while SV832 (bringing home five Malaysians) was scheduled to land at 1pm.
